Randy Hubbell,

Principal

Mr. Hubbell is a graduate of Culleoka High School, where he played both varsity basketball and baseball. He graduated from Middle Tennessee State University with a B.S. degree in Social Science and later received a Master's Degree in Administration and Supervision. Mr. Hubbell began his teaching career at Connelly Junior High School in Lewisburg before going to Maury County.

While in Maury County, Mr. Hubbell taught at Mr. Pleasant High School for three years, where he also served as an assistant football, assistant basketball, and girls' tennis coach. After leaving Mr. Pleasant, he coached boys' basketball (both junior high and high school) at Spring Hill High School for eleven years. His 1993 high school team advanced to the Class A State Final Four. He left junior high basketball after seven years to focus on his high school team. At the end of his junior high career, his teams had won five consecutive Maury County championships and were riding a forty-four game winning streak.

After giving up coaching, Mr. Hubbell served as Athletic Director at Spring Hill for the next five years. During this time, he became interested in administration, serving as the first administrative intern in the MTSU Masters of Education program. Mr. Hubbell would take a break from teaching for two years to enter private business before returning to the teaching profession at Marshall County High School in 2002. Mr. Hubbell taught for one year at MCHS before becoming assistant principal there. After one year as an assistant principal, he was named as principal of Lewisburg Middle School.

Mr. Hubbell is married to the former Mallory Sneed of Columbia and together they have four children: Zachary 15, Scott 12, Taylor 11, and Ben 10.

 

Cheryl Ewing,

Assistant Principal

Mrs. Ewing began her career with the Marshall County School System in January 1983 as an assistant for special education in grades 10, 11, and 12. After a year and a half, she was hired in a permanent teaching position at Hardison Elementary in third grade. In 1986 Hardison was moved to the new Westhills Elementary location where she continued teaching until being assigned assistant principal at L.M.S. in 2000. Mrs. Ewing is a native of Marshall County and received her B.S. from M.T.S.U. in 1982 and master's degree in 1994. She is married to William G. Ewing and has two sons. Clay is 29 years old and works for Ed Solutions. Drew is 18 and attends the University of Tennessee.
